Who We Are

Purpose

RECK (Retired Energetic Couples of Kingwood) is a non-profit organization established in 1987 for the sole purpose of encouraging social/cultural gatherings of retired Kingwood-area couples.

Membership

Applicants must be residents of the Greater Kingwood/Forest Cove Area who are at least 55 years old and retired from their principal occupation. If, after retirement, a member accepts a part-time or consultant position, that applicant would still be eligible for membership. In the event of the death of a member, the surviving spouse may continue as a RECK member, paying the same annual dues as couple members.

Dues

Annual dues are $30.00 to be paid before December 31.

Officers

Officers are volunteers who will serve for terms that coincide with RECK’s fiscal year, January 1 through December 31. New officers shall be approved by the Board of Directors and shall consist of:

President (couple)
Secretary (couple)
Treasurer/Membership (couple)
Social Chair (couple)

Events

The Program Committee will schedule monthly events which shall appear in the RECK Newsletter and on the RECK website. All members are expected to volunteer to serve as hosts for a RECK event. A widow or widower may bring a guest.

Newsletter

A newsletter will be prepared and will published on the RECK website. The newsletter will include club news, recap of club events, and details and sign up options for future events.
