On March 14, 2017, we are going to have lunch at the fabulous Houston icon, Tony’s Restaurant.  After our trip to Tony’s last November, there were so many raves about our luncheon and several members remarked, “We don’t need another event to go along with lunch because lunch at Tony’s is so wonderful”!   So, RECK members, here it is.  Please click Events at the top of this page for a full description and to sign up.

On January 31, we returned to the Sam Houston Race Park for live thoroughbred racing.  We had a buffet lunch in the Jockey Club, did some wagering and had a great afternoon.  This event was hosted by Bill & Jo Richard.

In January , 2017 we went to the George H. W. Bush Library in College Station, had lunch at the Amico Nave Italian Ristorante and topped off our day with a visit to the Messina Hof Winery.  This event was hosted by Bill & Judy Miles.

In December, we had the annual Christmas Party, Dinner and Dance at the Kingwood Country Club.  Great music again by Tom Asbrook.  This event was hosted by the RECK board and over 70 members had a fabulous time.

Also in December, we saw a Very Beatles Holiday Concert at the Music Box Theater which was preceded by dinner at the Original Carrabbas on Kirby.  This event was hosted by Bill & Judy Miles.

In November, after having dinner at Birraporeti’s in downtown Houston, we walked next door to the newly renovated Alley Theater and saw Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream which was hilarious. This event was hosted by Bill & Judy Miles.

Also in November, we returned for another visit to the Federal Reserve Bank and then went to lunch at the fabulous Houston icon Tony’s Restaurant.  This event was hosted by Bill & Judy Miles.

In October, we went to the National Funeral Museum and then had lunch at the Potatoe Patch and remarkably every one caught the rolls that the waiters threw to us. Event hosts were Bill & Judy Miles.

In September, our scheduled Buffalo Bayou tour was unfortunately cancelled due to a maintenance problem with the boat.  We were able to get a replacement event and we went to the Music Box for a concert featuring songs written and/or performed by artists from Texas preceded by dinner at Laurenzo’s. This was the first event hosted by Sharon & B. Ray Mize and they did an incredible job.

In August, we enjoyed Minute Maid Park and the Astros courtesy of the fabulous hosting style of Judy & Cass Zabinski.

July saw us at the Michael Hix concert at the Liberty Opry and dining at Marsalas in Huffman hosted by Kay & Herb Caffey.

June was awesome on the Southern Empress Paddleboat tour on Lake Conroe hosted by fun loving Kay & Herb Caffey. Again, we dined, danced and laughed.
